About Us

A Home Built on Attention, Not Scale

We are a small residential care home. That is a deliberate choice — it is what makes genuinely personal care possible.

Our Story

Why This Residence Exists

North Hills Care was founded on a straightforward observation: older adults do best in places that feel like homes. Not corridors and nursing stations, but a kitchen where dinner is cooking, a living room where people sit together, and a garden to step out into.

So we built exactly that. A small number of residents, a consistent caregiving team, and enough time in the day for a proper conversation. Families tell us the difference is noticeable within minutes of walking through the door.

We provide non-medical residential care. We are not a clinic and we do not pretend to be one. What we offer is the everyday support, company and safety that allows a person to keep living well.

Mission

To provide attentive, respectful daily support in a home where every resident feels known.

Vision

A standard of residential care where dignity and independence are never traded for convenience.

Our Values

Six Principles We Return To

Compassion

We notice the small things and respond to them without being asked.

Dignity

Support is offered privately, patiently and on the resident's terms.

Respect

Every person here has a history worth listening to.

Safety

A secure, well-maintained home with someone awake at every hour.

Connection

Shared meals, shared conversation and open doors for families.

Individuality

Routines and preferences shape our care, not the other way around.

Who We Serve

Older Adults Who Need Support, Not Supervision

Our residents are people who no longer wish to manage a household alone, or whose families need to know someone attentive is nearby.

  • Older adults seeking company and a safer daily routine
  • Individuals needing help with personal care and medication reminders
  • Families arranging respite or a planned transition
  • People who want a small residence rather than a large facility
Levels of Care

Matching Support to Real Needs

  1. 01

    Light everyday support

For residents who are largely independent but appreciate meals, housekeeping, companionship and someone nearby.

  2. 02

    Moderate daily assistance

Regular help with bathing, dressing, mobility and medication reminders, alongside full household support.

  3. 03

    Enhanced support, where permitted

A higher level of everyday assistance, assessed case by case and offered only where our licensing allows.

Our Commitment

If we are not the right home for your loved one, we will say so.

Care philosophy matters most when it is inconvenient. We would rather help a family find a more suitable option than accept a resident whose needs exceed what we can properly meet.
